After you’re arrested, in most cases, you have the ability to get out of jail. You might have the option to pay and ensure that you will come back to a scheduled court date, which is bail. There are two types of bail; attorney’s bond and bail bond. Bail bonds are the most common, in which most like a family member, goes through a bail bonds company. To find out more about the bail bonds process in a Texas criminal case watch this video with attorney Mike Goolsby and contact him at 214-296-2770.
The bail bonds company is going to charge you usually a percentage, and typically it’s around 10% of what a bond is. So if a bond is say $1,500 you may pay a hundred and fifty dollars and that gets you out of jail. And then you have to, really you have to make sure that you’re reporting in to bail bonds companies and that way you stay out of jail. A client needs a bail bondsman or an attorney. What that does is it allows you to get out of jail and to go on about your life for a little while. One of the things we do here is we help people get in contact with bail bonds companies, because a lot of people don’t know much about it. And so we want to make sure that clients know and they understand what is involved in that, and then that way they’re not stuck in jail. To speak to a lawyer call us at the Goolsby law firm.
